Brr, it’s a cold one, and I’m back with this week’s Out N Lou agenda. Not going to lie I backed out on some plans last night because staying in my warm and cozy apartment was just too appealing. Luckily for me – and you – there’s plenty going on this weekend in Louisville to make up for lost time.
Restaurants to check out:
8UP opened on the 8th floor of the Hilton downtown, from what I’ve seen and heard it’s guaranteed to be a success.
Louisville FINALLY has a ramen spot, and it’s in my hood. Couldn’t be happier about it. If you haven’t checked out Rumplings yet, do yourself a favor and do it.
A5 is having a pop up at Atlantic No. 5 tomorrow, November 14th. I went with Elizabeth and Bella a few weeks back, and I can’t wait until they open for reals.
Things to get into:
Support local artists at Slant Culture Theatre Festival.
Dance, dance baby with Glitter Titz at Nowhere Bar on Friday night.
RuPaul’s Drag Race fan? Phi Phi O’Hara will be at Play Louisville Friday night with shows at 10, 12, & 2.
Feeling in the Holiday spirit after yesterday’s snow flurries? Head out to the Festival of Trees and Lights at Slugger Field.
Louisville Noir opens this weekend at Revelry Boutique and Gallery.
Learn how to make a few Bourbon Country-inspired dishes with Bourbon Barrel Foods on Saturday morning.
Jam with Houndmouth + Twin Limb at Do(502)’s Official Launch Party (If you’re interested in going, be sure to RSVP as entrants will be chosen in a lottery style drawing from the RSVP list.)
If you aren’t lucky enough to be admitted to Do(502)’s party, laugh the night away with Wanda Sykes at The Louisville Palace.
With the weather taking a turn for the worse a lot of Louisville’s outdoor activities are going to start coming to a close, but don’t worry the city still has plenty up their sleeve. Keep grammin’ with #OutNLou to share what you’re doing in Louisville this weekend. As always, if I missed something shoot me an e-mail.
