I read a lot of blogs every morning. A lot as in 50 or so. They range from men’s and women’s fashion to DIY and cooking blogs and just about every thing in between. One blog in particular that always sticks out and leaves me wanting more is HGTV‘s. I mean – it only makes sense that what my TV is constantly tuned into would translate to an online obsession as well, right?
I’ve talked about Fixer Upper‘s Chip and Joanna Gaines in previous posts, and they’ve done it again this week with their Mid-Century Modern fixer upper. That live edge table up there is just one of many things to love (maybe lust) over. What’s your favorite HGTV show/power couple?
Speaking of fixing up a space – my friend Blair from Fox and She has new prints up for sale in her Minted store that are just begging to find a home on one or two of your walls.
After seeing Justin‘s (from Scout Sixteen) living room overhaul with Orlando from Home Polish & west elm I’ve been seriously perusing their new receipts just itching to switch up my space a little/a lot.
Other things that I’m itching for include white jeans (thanks to Anthony & Grasie), any/everything from the new Kenzo selection at East Dane, and another pair of Birkenstocks.
We all know I’m definitely not a suit & tie kind of guy, but Isaac’s “I Don’t Fox With You” look complete with his Maison KitsunΓ© gingham suit may have me singing a different tune – just in time for Derby.
I can’t believe that Derby is just a few weeks away – time apparently really does fly by. Luckily for the Derby inclined vineyard vines, the official outfitter for the Kentucky Derby for the 5th year in a row, just launched their capsule collection for 2015.
With my Mexico trip on my mind I’m having a hard time focusing on prepping for Derby, and Adam’s trip to the Bahamas isn’t making that wander lust any less.
I’m really, REALLY trying to do my best about eating healthy/healthier in prep for my time on the beach, BUT the guys over at The Bitten Word are making that hella hard with this recipe for Simple Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.
I’m real tempted to buy a new Charlie by MZ swimsuit in order to make sure I keep on the healthier eating/working out band wagon.
And I’ll leave you with this – “I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it full speed, embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good.” The Fresh Exchange helped start my week off on the right foot with that quote, and I couldn’t wait to share it with y’all. May it be that kick in the butt you need to make this weekend one to remember – I have a feeling mine may be.
