It looks like Spring is officially here to stay in the Bluegrass, which means several things, but for me personally it means time to start hitting the pavement again. Love running, really do, but when it’s cold out – I just can’t get my butt out the door to run. With warmer, longer days here to stay I’m hoping that’s an issue of the past though.

I’ve figured out most things about running over the years by trial and error. Like always wear moisture wicking socks or you’ll get blisters, or if you’re running long distance make sure to protect sensitive areas from chaffing – learned that one the hard way.

One thing I hadn’t figured out until recently though was how to go about wearing deodorant when I was out on long runs that didn’t leave me feel sticky or on the hot days finding it running down my sides. More often than not when I headed out for long runs I did so without putting any deodorant on, which wasn’t my brightest decision ever.

But then I picked up a can of Dove’s new dry spray at Walmart when I was out shopping last week, and I figured out that riddle as well. Gone are the days of running sans deodorant, all my fellow runners in Cherokee Park can thank me or Dove personally.

Best part about them is that they spray on instantly dry which makes for a much cleaner feel than using traditional deodorants. If you’re lacing up for a run anytime in the near to distant future I’d encourage you to head to your nearest Walmart and pick up one of Unilever’s newest dry sprays. They really are a game changer. When you decide to make the jump join the conversation online by tagging your posts with #TryDry. Can’t wait to see how y’all try dry for yourselves.
