Thursday Things: Set The World On Fire

thursday things, link roundup, best of, the fresh exchange

In typical The Fresh Exchange fashion they started my week off on the right foot with the above quote, and I know I’ve said 100 times before, but I’ll keep saying how much Megan & Mike inspire me to be both a better person and creative business-person until one of us closes up shop on our blogs. Because what’s not to love about a couple that makes you want to get out there and set the world on fire?

If you’re curious how to go about turning a blog into a business Katie did a great job of summing up what exactly is required to start blogging as a business

I’m currently battling with myself, in my head of course, on whether or not I want to make a temporary move to NYC. Before you say anything, it’s not that I don’t want to, but I’m just worried that I’m doing it for all the wrong reasons. BUT if I do make the movie, I’ve got a slue of places to eat thanks to Man Repeller

Speaking of food, I’ve honestly not had any peaches this summer, and that’s a downright travesty, am I right? This weekend I plan on changing that with this recipe for Peaches and Meringue

Note to self: enjoy your weekend, but don’t forget to put on sunscreen like you did last weekend. Looking for a moisturizer with some SPF in it? Here you go

One of my favorite facial scrubs ever is one that I whip up with a few things you probably have in your kitchen, and here’s a whole list of beauty products you can make at home. You’re welcome.

And if making beauty products at home isn’t your thing, then you should consider making this Brancolada Cocktail this weekend.

Stumbled upon this quote in one of my Damsel in Dior’s post this week, and damn does it hit home “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” John F. Kennedy

Broke down and bought an ice-cream maker this week after seeing Blair’s Spicy Coffee & Chocolate Chip Ice Cream recipe, and because I’m working on a little something, something that will combine matcha, bourbon, and ice-cream. Stay tuned!

While we’re on the topic of Chicago, I’m only slightly miffed that I didn’t get a ticket for Create & Cultivate while I had the chance because thanks to Wandeleur I now have a list of 10 things to visit next time I’m in town. Road trip anyone?
