Charlie by MZ Spring Swimwear by The Kentucky GentCharlie Trainer // Charlie Square Cut Brief //  Charlie Trainer

With temps on the rise locally, and my trip to Mexico looming on the horizon my mind has begun to drift to what swimwear to pack for my upcoming trip. Naturally the first place my mind went was Charlie. If you’re frequently on Instagram and follow any good looking men (especially gay men) who live in warm climates or travel to the beach often you’re probably familiar with the name and/or the hashtag #charliebymz.

By the off-chance you’ve not actually heard the name before, allow me to e-introduce you. “Charlie by Matthew Zink is a luxury swim lifestyle brand dedicated to the seduction of the perfect swimsuit. A tribute to the decadence of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, Charlie looks to celebrate the joyful sensuality and effortless style of the past.” In other words – the brand is the opposite of everything that men’s swimwear has grown to be over the last several years, and for that I couldn’t be happier. As if that wasn’t reason enough to get on board with the brand; their impressive branding coupled with a lust worthy Instagram feed have had me hooked since I started following along.

While I may not look like the above model, or fill out a brief quite as nicely as him that doesn’t mean I can’t get down with a pair or two of printed trainers. What are some of your favorite swimwear styles as a guy, or that you like to see on a guy? Sound off in the comments to let me know, and shop more of my favorites below.

If these suits gave me the illusion of having a 6 pack or the ever sought after V… I’d buy 6! Until then I’ve been looking at a few from J Crew Factory.

They have a few styles right now that are a little shorter than the usual bro type board shorts, but don’t cost an arm and a leg.

[…] is on! This time next week I’ll be writing this post from the sunny, sand filled beaches of Mexico, AND I couldn’t be more excited for some time away from it all. It’ll be a nice little […]
