This weekend I had the chance to head back down to Lexington for some much needed R&R at the Hyatt Regency, and from the incredibly welcoming staff to the stellar new menu at BlueFire Bar & Grill the stay was exactly what I needed. If you’re looking for place to take a Lexington Staycation or Vacation then you’ve come to the right place.
I’ve driven by this location more than a handful of times (the Bourbon Chase actually wraps up in the park in the above photo), but up until now never took the time to check out all that the property has to offer.
Lexington is similar to Louisville in the sense that we’ve got plenty of hotels downtown, and while there’s plenty to choose from in their downtown area – I’d have to say this is the most conveniently located.
Besides the seasonal rotated and locally sourced menu (try their Chicken & Waffles – you won’t be disappointed) in their restaurant there are no less than 10 other restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, as well as bars, coffee shops, and shopping. It’s a win, win.
Disclosure: My stay at Hyatt Regency Lexington was complimentary, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Before you go.. Like what you see?
