Derby City Darling // Chelcey Tate // The Kentucky Gent // Glitter & Gingham // Pages of Style // Classy Sassy // My Modern Cookery
If you follow along on my Instagram you would’ve seen that yesterday I had brunch with a few of the Kentucky SBS Bloggers, and let me tell you that it was the perfect way to start off my weekend/last day stateside for a minute. If you’re not following with the girls in the above photo, now is your chance to do so. The names below the photo read from left to right, and each is hyperlinked to their respective blog owner’s homepage.
Yesterday went so well, that it looks like we’re going to begin having a monthly meet-up for the Kentucky crew – the details of which I’m going to work out once I’m home from Mexico. In other words, if you want in on the fun that is a monthly blogger meet-up then submit an application to join the ranks over on Southern Blog Society’s site.
If you want a good reason to do so – then here’s one. Yesterday reminded me why I decided to quit my full-time job and turn this blog into a career. Some of these girls drove from Lexington while others gave up their only day off to turn some online friends into real life friends. And that right there speaks volumes to me. It goes to show that we love what we do. All of these girls work full-time jobs, juggle relationships/marriages (some with children), and still manage to share their passion online in their spare time. Often times that means staying up until they’re cross-eyed to finish editing photos, or to finish a post. Bloggers may have gotten a bad rep over the last few years, but I know first hand that this SBS crew is some of the most genuine, down to earth folks that I’ve had the privilege of meeting. IF that’s not reason enough to follow these ladies + apply to join us next month then I really don’t know what is.
