Not exactly sure where to begin, but I guess I’ll start by saying these may/may not be my new favorite jeans and these boots are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. It’s no secret that one of my favorite things about the upcoming season has something to do with being able to wear boots again, which means these new boots from Cat couldn’t have come at a better time. Not only are they a great looking pair of boots they also happen to be light as a feather and seriously comfy. It’s a win, win.
I’ve not worn a pair of “girl” jeans since my high school days, but when I was out shopping with my housemates last week this pair of boyfriend jeans were calling my name. I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of jeans that were loose in the thigh that still fit everywhere else, but they don’t seem to make that option in my size in the boy’s department. Blame it on the chubby thighs.
And speaking of chubby thighs. I stumbled down a wormhole yesterday that I’d prefer I not went down, but there’s no looking back now. Setting up Google Alerts for the blog was a great idea until I got an alert from GOMI (Get Off My Internets). Naive me originally believed the comments on the site weren’t snarky, but I was quickly proved wrong. If you’re unsure of what GOMI is, allow me to break it down for you. It’s essentially a site for faceless people to gather and badmouth their least favorite bloggers, whether that happen to be because of how they dress, how chubby their thighs are, because their poses are just “that sexy”, or anywhere in between. If you’re wondering, yes all the above things were said about several of my posts, complete with photographic proof of course. At first I let it get under my skin more than I should have, until I realized the issues these people have happen to be with themselves and has nothing to do with me or how chubby (or not chubby) my thighs are. Especially seeing as how 75% of the comments in my thread are from the same person, which makes me wonder if they’re from Louisville/if I know them personally. But like T Swift once said, “Haters gonna hate hate hate.” Time to shake em off.
I will come out and say however that I am at the heaviest I have been in a while, and that’s become glaringly obvious over the last few weeks. Thankfully my sprained ankle seems to finally be healed, and I’m getting back into the swing of running and doing yoga. Do me a favor and hold me accountable? I’ll do the same for any/all of you if the situation ever presents itself.
