Winter Fun With 21c Louisville

Winter Fun Package at 21c Louisville.

As much as I love Louisville and love the neighborhood I live in there are still times that I long for a getaway. I spent a lot of the summer traveling, and I loved every minute of it. However with the Holiday season upon me (and my current bank account balance) I wasn’t able to hop on a plane to curb my itch for a weekend getaway. Which got me to thinking about a “staycation”, and boy was I in luck because 21c Louisville came to the rescue with their Winter Fun Package.

While I’ve visited 21c several times to revel in the gorgeous art and chow down on some seriously delicious food at Proof on Main (if you’re visiting Louisville you have to try their fries, it’s a must) I’ve never stayed the night in the Louisville location. I mean, why would I? I live in Louisville, my apartment is a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Then I realized, why not?

You can’t deny that getting to check into a fancy hotel, where you can order room service any time of the day AND watch movies in a bathrobe while drinking bourbon hot chocolate and eating cookies, isn’t the best way to treat yourself. Which, let’s face it, is a god send this time of year.

Through February at 21c Louisville you can book a room for a night (or two) to experience their Winter Fun Package. In addition to a stay, this package includes bourbon hot chocolate for two, a milk and cookies turndown, Malin + Goetz peppermint bath amenities, a 21c limited edition print and the opportunity to blow your own glass snowman at Flame Run Glass Studio. Rates start at $303 per night, book your stay here.

Maybe you aren’t up for a weekend getaway in The Derby City (you don’t know what you’re missing out on, but I won’t hold it against you), and that’s ok because their museum is open 24/7 365 days with 3 site specific art installations that were constructed at the Louisville property and will remain in the building until the company closes its doors.

Proof on Main is one of the best restaurants in the city with an incredible bar and wait staff that serve up some of the most unique and delicious food and drink that Louisville has to offer, executive chef Levon Wallace and his team are masterminds at what they do.

sometimes a staycation is all you need! we did one a few years ago and it was incredible and so relaxing! it also made us explore a new part of the city that we wouldn’t have otherwise! hope you’re feeling extra relaxed now 🙂

It was great and exactly what I needed. I frequent the restaurant in the hotel, but it was so fun to explore the hotel and museum from a new angle.

I have to do this, if not just for the bourbon hot chocolate!

Couldn’t agree more! It would be totally worth it, just for that.

Such great pics of 21c! A staycation can sometimes be better than a vacation – all of the perks and none of the stress of traveling.

Thank you! I’m SO glad I’ve finally figured out how to use my camera indoors haha. A staycation was a god send, and like you said with zero stress. I left my place 15 minutes before check in and before I knew it I was lounging in bed.

Thanks bud. I may be a little biased, but it’s definitely a must see. They have 4 other properties too, all just as gorgeous.

One of my favorite places to stay when I come home to the Lou for a visit! The penguins in Cincy are yellow and one might have just been kidnapped on a girls weekend their opening weekend! So glad I found your blog via IG. I might just be booking another girl’s trip soon!

Right?! I have several pictures with some of the Penguins from the 21c in Cincinnati. LOVE that rooftop bar. Thanks for finding me and stopping by! I really appreciate it. They’ve got a ton of great packages right now, I’d definitely check them out.

21C is so great – I can’t wait until the one in Lexington opens, full of Wildcat blue penguins! I’m all for art and room service. Talk about staycation paradise!

Right?! I can’t wait to see what they end up doing with the Lexington location. I’ll definitely have to plan a trip down once they get up and running.

I’ve become a little obsessed with 21C and all of the penguins. Like Emily, I’m anxiously awaiting the opening of the one in Lexington. Such a great place for a staycation.
