I’m sure I’m not the only one in the greater Louisville area that really, REALLY wishes the water works that have been plaguing the area over the past week would stop. I mean, I’ll take it over snow any day, BUT it’s seriously putting a damper on most (if not all) of my plans – like taking photos for instance. These guys definitely are not my favorite by any stretch of the imagination, but sometime a boy’s gotta do what a boy’s gotta do. I was able to run out behind my apartment when the rain let up a little bit to snap some photos – sadly, the lighting wasn’t exactly what I would’ve hoped for, but I made it work.
Another thing that the rain has had an affect or two on would be my mood. I love rainy days whenever I’m able to lounge around on the couch and veg out with Netflix and tons of food, but with my marathon training in the final stages + tying up loose ends before heading to Mexico that’s definitely not how I’ve been spending these rainy days. Is it just me or does the weather seriously positively or negatively impact your work days? On the bright side – since I was trapped inside for the bulk of the day yesterday I did some rearranging of my work/live space, and I’m happy to say that I think it all flows much better now. Which will hopefully make for more productive days. Keep your fingers crossed for me y’all. Speaking of crossing of fingers, a photographer from Courier Journal is stopping by my place to take some photos for my upcoming “StyleMaker” feature. Big thanks to Mo for the nomination! Issues will be on stands April 19th for you locals, and I’ll be posting the link to the online article for the rest of y’all.
