Time Out

For the first time in quite awhile I took an actual break from everything blog related for the weekend, including my social media channels and let me tell you – it was one of the best ideas I’ve had in awhile. We all need a time out here and there.

I spent the weekend spending time with friends, working around the house, and dancing the night away on Saturday. Being self-employed makes it harder than ever to force myself to have some downtime, but I’m glad that I listened to my body this time around.

Haha, I finally got a much needed haircut that, which means I’m able to wear it down more often! Just need it to cool down a little bit first.

I think I need to do the same. I literally live and breathe the blog and it’s not healthy!

Amen! I’ve been living and breathing it for 6 months now, and.. it was beginning to take its toll. Considering taking off for a week somewhere near the water and unplugging for a bit!

I’m right there with you in needing a break! I’m taking a trip to the beach with my family later this week, and I’m seriously considering unplugging … It might be a bit difficult to not Instagram on vacation though. 🙂

Yeah.. I know how easy it is to say “I’ll just Instagram this photo of the beach, and then unplug.” But you’ll keep doing that, and then in turn checking notifications, etc. I love sharing trips with my followers, and I know you do too! I’d recommend waiting until you have a weekend at home where you can unplug and enjoy cuddles on the couch and lots of takeout food.

I blog full time, so just like you need a break from a 9-5 job – sometimes full-time bloggers need that as well!
