This post comes to you LATE yet again, and from my parents couch as I had to come out to their neck of the woods to run some errands + send in my passport application (I’M GOING TO MEXICO, Y’ALL!). Which turned into me and my mom hitting a patch of ice, running off the road, and landing in a ditch about a half mile from their house – that’s some luck right there, huh? At least I got a great in Instagram photo out of it, AND one of the hottest cops I’ve ever seen stopped to see if we were ok.
It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a Thursday Things post – mostly because I was in NYC for Fashion Week and then had the fashion flu, but now that half the U.S. is covered in blanket of snow I figure all of us could use a source or two of inspiration + some weekend reading.
The Fox & She gave me serious office envy this week when she showed her newly updated home office, complete with a west elm desk. One of my biggest hangups in working from home is my lack of work space in which I feel inspired to sit, write, and work my days away in. Thanks to her though I know how I’m spending my weekend.
Speaking of Blair from Fox & She, I found earlier this week that she’ll be speaking at the Southern Blog Society Conference in Charleston this June, and I couldn’t be more excited about finally getting to meet her + learn from her. If you’re not a member yet, there’s still time to join!
I’ve never been to Charleston, but I can certainly say that I’m excited to go, especially when our hotel is as gorgeous as Belmond Charleston Place is.
This Spring/Summer is shaping up to be one of the best I’ve had in years with trips already planned to Mexico next month, Charleston in June, and NYC + Chicago in July. Naturally I’ve already started shopping for warmer weather clothing, and thanks to the East Dane sale it’s cheaper than ever.
Thanks to Tyler Williams I’ve got some good reads to add to my list for beach reading next month as that’s all I really plan on doing. I mean, what’s better than reading while getting a tan?
Until I’m on that beach I know I’m gonna be stuck inside for awhile still thanks to all the latest snow, and to stay warm I’m wiping up this soup tomorrow, you know what that means – food post coming soon.
I’m still on the lookout for a handsome husband who wants to flip a house with me, and someone that’s totally ok with my kitchen looking like this. If anyone has any leads, I ask that you reach out ASAP.
Leave to Isaac Likes to make me rethink all of my preconceived notions that living with someone before getting series was a good idea.
Damsel in Dior offered up envy in two ways this week. First and foremost, with a brand, spanking new site design that is quite impressive, and secondly with her latest travel post about a trip to Laguna Beach.
While she’s enjoying that SoCal sun, I’m taking a cue from Closet Freaks and embracing the sweatpants trend a little longer – at least until it gets warmer, and I’m actually motivated to leave my house.
