Lexington isn’t that far from Louisville, but this weekend’s trip couldn’t have felt further away – in the best way possible. The Campbell House Lexington, Curio Collection by Hilton was the perfect home away from home for an quick getaway and weekend staycation of sorts.
The hotel was originally built in 1951, but recently went through a multi-million dollar renovation that provided the property with an updated feel without losing any of its signature Southern charm.
It’s often been touted as one of the finest hotels in Kentucky, and after this weekend’s trip there I can certainly see why. The bed was easily one of the most comfortable that I’ve ever slept in, and I’ve slept in quite a few hotels over the last few years.
Not to mention the blue crushed velvet sofa was right in front of the fireplace in my room and was the perfect place to unwind on after spending the day running around Lexington with my gal pals, Jennifer and Shelby.
Besides being absolutely charming in all the above ways it’s also one of the Curio – A Collection by Hilton hotels, a carefully selected, global collection of distinctive four and five star hotels that offer travels local discovery and authentic experiences.
Just like the name Curio suggests each hotel is different from the next with individuality being a common thread, along with the reassurance that come with having the name Hilton behind every location.
