I’ve been wearing Converse sneakers for as long as I can remember, and by that I mean since being a “scene kid” was cool. Never in a million years did I imagine that they’d release an update on the classic shoe, but they did just that a few weeks back.
Without further adieu allow me to introduce you to The Chuck Taylor All Star II. They’ve taken the best of their original model and combined it with advanced technology like a Lunarlon sockliner for added cushioning and support, super soft micro-suede lining for added comfort, and a padded non-slip tongue for 360 degree comfort around the ankle and instep.
Prior to this update Converse hadn’t done anything to their original design to nearly 100 years. I’m definitely one for not fixing something that’s not broken, but with updates like this I think it’s for the best. Needless to say, I’m going to be adding a pair of two of these to my closet ASAP.
