Well, NYFWM is officially off the ground and running full steam ahead. I promised that I’d share daily recaps of my favorite shows, BUT this week has already gotten away from me. Here’s a look at what I wore to day one of the shows at Skylight Clarkson Square, which is the new home for Fashion Week, for now that is. Yesterday was by far my busiest day, and because of that I wanted to show out more than my other outfits. But looking back now, I wish I would have opted for something else – win some, lose some right?
In other news I stayed at The Standard last night, and it was gorgeous. If you follow me on SnapChat (@TheKentuckyGent) you saw a mini tour of the room, and I’m sure that’ll convince you to book a stay there. And if not, next time you’re in NYC (or any city they have a hotel) download One Night Standard. It’s an app that allows you to book a room at one of their hotels the day you want to stay for a fraction of the cost. I can’t recommend doing this enough. The shower alone is worth it – trust me. Showering while overlooking downtown NYC is a view that’s worth its weight in gold.
