Fun fact: Sometimes as bloggers we take the time to style, shoot, and edit photos for a sponsored campaign that end up not getting used due to one reason or another. Just another reason being a blogger seems like a lot of “fun”, but it’s not always as pretty as it seems. This happens to be one of those looks, and if you follow me on Instagram you’ve already seen the finish product. And if you don’t here’s the perfect excuse to do so.
Don’t get me wrong, blogging is fun. I love it. But you’ve got to have thick skin. Like, literally the thickest. Brands will tell you that you’re not a good fit, that “you’re not on brand”, or they’ll just stop replying to e-mails. Instead of getting bitter take it as an opportunity to have a conversation with the brand on what direction they’re looking for, or what you can do to improve your photos for next time. That way they’ll know that you take what you’re doing seriously, and that you’re open to constructive criticism. And always remember, better not bitter.
