“I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you are not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”
With all that’s been going on in the media that last few days it’s sometimes hard to remember that there are good people still left in the world, but in the spirit of the season I’m giving thanks for one of those good people in today’s post.
Shop The Look:
Y’allsome was founded by Craig with a simple mission in mind, to give back to the region of the United States that was born and raised in. While his career kept him living between New York and Los Angeles for the last 9 years his love for the South has only grown. Its culture, its way of life, and most importantly its sweat tea.
Y’allsome was born out of a desire to celebrate and give back to the place he loves most. He sees it as a great way to express his love for his home and to also help foster kids whose plight he became aware of in his 20’s.
All Y’allsome products help foster the South in two ways. First and foremost it supports Southern Business. They do everything they can to create the goods using Southern Businesses. Sometimes the entire product is made from scratch in the South, other times a Southern business was integral in the final product.
Secondly, for every Y’allsome good that is sold 15% of the profits go to support Southern foster kids through a non-profit called Adoption Discovery in Atlanta.
While all we may see on the news, our twitter feeds, or on our Facebook walls for the next few days will continue to center around an act of senseless violence let us remember that there are people out there working countless hours in their garage trying to make the South, The United States, and our world a better place. Be thankful for that this Thanksgiving season.
