I’m typically a bourbon guy, but Epicurious Louisville tempted with a lighter libation in today’s post.
Shari’s Berries reached out to me a few weeks ago about putting together a warm weather cocktail centered around, of course, berries. Not being a typical food blogger, but always a fan of some fruity cocktails I was in, but knew I would need some help for this post. Naturally the first person that popped into my mind was my friend and fellow blogger, Epicurious Louisville. Besides curating the best food blog in our fair city she’s also the Editor-in-Chief of Louisville.com and is quickly becoming one of my closest friends. I threw some ideas at her and with our two super human minds combined we came up with this light, perfect for summer cocktail. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
The Kentucky Gent’s Summertime Breeze
8-10 blueberries
2 oz. Pink Lemonade (recipe here)
1 Shot of Gin
3-4 sprigs of Rosemary
Rinse and drain blueberries
Transfer blueberries to cocktail glass
Muddle blueberries and rosemary
Add pink lemonade and gin, transfer to cocktail shaker to mix
Serve and enjoy!
