Superdry was inspired by a trip to Tokyo in 2003. The brand takes design influences from Japanese graphics and fuses it with vintage Americana, while keeping true to their British values of tailoring. The end result is unique, urban clothing. Their incredible branding and unparalleled level of detailing sets them apart from their competitors.
Their latest collection with iconic Welsh bespoke tailor, Timothy Everest, continues to follow tradition and makes them stand out from the crowd. From the impeccably tailored grey suit, to the olive blazer with contrasting yellow collar; every piece speaks for itself. The launch has been coined “Sebiro”. It is a a trans-seasonl capsule collection of core wardrobe staples. Staying true to both their aesthetics the collection showcases attention to detail, super-skinny cuts, and fine quality cloths. It was designed as a separates range to mix and match with Superdry’s current casual pieces. It focuses on four main characters: The Super Spy, The Bank Robber, The San Francisan, and The Country Rebel. Each has their own defining traits. My favorite characters are The Super Spy, the charcoal suit, and The Country Rebel. Both exhibit sides of my style personality, but in two very different perspectives. That’s the joy of separate collections, mixing and matching creates endless outfit opportunities.
My must have pieces from the collection? That grey suit for one; the attention to detail and super-skinny cut keep it perfect for the modern man. Secondly, the olive jacket with contrasting yellow collar. The color combination is incredible, and it’s perfect for a casual Friday in the office or Sunday brunch with the family.
