I’m officially back in Louisville for the next 48 hours before heading off on another trip, which means last night I came home, ordered some food, watched the last episode of OITNB (OMG, such a good finale!), and fell asleep on the couch before I could finish this spot – sorry, not sorry. Traffic on the way home from Chicago was a nightmare. If you tag along with me on SnapChat (@TheKentuckyGent) you probably saw several sing-a-longs + sitting in bumper to bumper traffic.

Some of y’all may be wondering why I ventured up to Chicago this weekend, and for once (in what feels like forever) it was a trip that didn’t involve work. After the last 6 months of busting my ass to get this blog up and running 100% I needed some time off, out of town, with some old friends, and that’s exactly what this weekend was. It was a chance to recharge my batteries and get my head back in the game before 2 more weeks of travel, followed by NYFWM in July. As always, thanks again for tagging along with me on this crazy journey. I wouldn’t be here without any of y’all! I’m headed to Henderson, Kentucky for a Bluegrass Festival tomorrow with Kentucky Tourism, so be sure to follow along over on Instagram. Be prepared for several outfits like the one from today’s post (minus the Cubs tank) as I’ve officially adopted drawstring shorts, tanks, and slip on shoes as my travel uniform.
