One of my favorite times of year looks like it’s here to stay, finally.
For a kid that’s grown up with four seasons his whole life I’m certainly partial to two in particular, Spring and Fall. They’re not too hot or too cold. Days like today are perfect for long walks through the park, coffee at my favorite spot, or drinking hot apple cider. The gloomy mood outside, only adds to the appeal. Especially when I’m able to throw on a comfy hoodie and my favorite part of jeans for the day. Only thing that could make it better? A cuddle buddy (for which I’m still taking applications, FYI), but I’m not keeping my fingers crossed. I’ve been keeping plenty busy, enough so to forget about my lack of love life, and for once I’m actually ok with it. Because of that I’m able to show some love to several very well deserving brands, both local and international. Today I’m showing some love for Half United.
Half United’s mission is simple, fighting hunger. With each item that is sold half of the proceeds go to buy meals for children in need. Started in 2010 by siblings Carmin and Christian Black, Half United has quickly grown from a small start up company into a growing movement of men and women UNITINGΒ to stop hunger in tracks. The proceeds from a necklace like the one I’m wearing today, the Jude, are able to provide 5 meals for children in need. Each item is handmade by reusingΒ three recycled bullet casings, which represent your fight against hunger and put your stance on display in a major way. Consider joining the movement by visiting Half United today and becoming part of the movement with myself and other bloggers like Justin Livingston of Scout Sixteen.
