Dillard’s, the official hat provider of the Kentucky Derby Festival, presents Runway for the Roses at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center, Ballroom #3 on April 2nd. In collaboration with Gunnar Deatherage and Nfocus Magazine, Dillard’s Runway for the Roses promises to be a theatrical fashion event that creatively juxtaposes Derby season’s hottest fashions with a fresh take on what we traditionally see for Derby.
“We are going to take a theatrical and introspective look at the phenomenon we call Derby,” says Nfocus Fashion Editor Gunnar Deatherage. “Last year, we did a hybrid event with film. This year, the genre is theater. Like last year, you can expect some amazing live music. As for all other aspects, expect the unexpected.” He also let us in on a little secret, this show will be more about the art of it all, with fashion being the medium he chose to tell their story of Derby.
