Summer is officially in full swing, and I’ve got a reason or two to celebrate. As of this month I’ve been officially blogging full-time for 6 months, which is great in and of itself, but especially great for me as back in January when I made the decision to not pursue work elsewhere, I gave myself the 6 month goal of being 100% profitable. If I wasn’t able to make it work in those 6 months I promised to throw in the towel and look for work elsewhere. Well, three cheers to all of y’all sticking with me throughout this journey and making this dream a reality. As a reward, I’m sharing a few recipes for signature summer sips in today’s post.
So today, this one is for y’all. Those of you that may not be able to join me next month when I throw a little thank you bash for those that have stuck with me throughout this crazy journey of starting and growing this here blog of mine.
One of my favorite ways to spice up a party is to have a signature cocktail (or two). Since I’m from Kentucky, it’s only natural that my signature summer sips would revolve around one of my favorite bourbons, Wild Turkey American Honey Bourbon. In my experience drinks that you can make in large batches (like both of today’s recipes) are perfect for summer bashes, because no one wants to be stuck behind a bar serving up cocktail after cocktail when there’s plenty of mingling to get to. So if you’re looking to take your next get-together to the next level, or just enjoy drinking bourbon then you’re in the right place.
