The one downside to living in an apartment is the limited counter space situation, and the glaring lack of ability to do anything about it. Cause if I owned this place I definitely knock down a few walls, double the kitchen in size, and thereby cancel out my counter space issues, but since I don’t I’m left shopping for kitchen islands to take care of the issue at hand. So Michael, if you ever read this feel free to take this advice and/or let me put my Property Brothers hat on and knock out a few walls, okay?
If you’re in a similar situation, or if you’re not willing to get your hands dirty (don’t blame you) then a rolling kitchen island may be your best bet. I’m not 100% sure why I never thought of investing in one until now, but it literally didn’t cross my mind until I was complaining to my roommate about the situation whenever I was cooking earlier this week, to which she replied “Let’s get an island.” Needless to say I’ve been shopping around ever since that conversation, and I’ve rounded up some of my favorites (both highs and lows) below.
