“As the ocean is never full of water, so is the heart never full of love.”
Unfortunately for me there isn’t an ocean within close driving proximity to me, and because of that the Ohio River sometimes has to make due. There is no other place that I feel quite as at peace at than the water. Granted, the Ohio River is definitely no white sands beach in So Cal, but you’ve got to make the most of what you’ve got, right? Waves don’t gradually lap away against the beach, but they are created by the boats moving swiftly along the channel. Seaweed is replaced by trash and debris. But none the less it’s a place that I go to when I need a moment to collect my thoughts and focus on what’s ahead. This summer has been a journey. A journey of epic proportions both good and bad.
This weekend was no exception. I had the privilege of seeing Katy Perry in concert at the KFC Yum! Center, and even got to meet and hang with her back up dancers (what a FUN time). Up next for me is Robyn in concert in the Chicago this weekend, and then here’s some news for some of you.. I’ll be attending NYFW in September. That’s the reason I needed a moment by the water this weekend. Fashion Week is a thrill, but it definitely takes a toll on a person. I hope you’ll tag along over the next few weeks as I get ready to back the trek to the Big Apple!
