It seems like yesterday that I announced I’d be heading to NYFW again this season. To be honest, the whole reason I’m going this season is because after watching “Wild” I knew I couldn’t NOT go. If you’ve seen the movie, you can probably relate. I’ve never had one movie make me question every decision I’ve made in my life as much as this one did. There’s a bit in the movie where she’s wondering if she hadn’t done x, y, and z would she be where she was then, and that’s when I knew I had to book a flight & hotel – even if I couldn’t really afford it. Because if I didn’t, I’d be sitting at home wondering what could’ve happened, and I hate living life with “what ifs”.
Today’s the day I’ve been planning for (yet, not packing for until last night) for months. I’m boarding a flight for the Big Apple this morning at 7, and the usual jitters & nerves have set in. It’s definitely hard for me, a little, ole guy from Louisville, to fly into the city for Fashion Week and attend all the shows and events that I’ve got lined up (over 30 shows in total this season, yikes.) That’s why I’m excited to be bringing Adrian and Danielle along with me this trip. FINALLY I’m going to have a photographer that I know with me for Fashion Week. I’m more than thrilled to actually be able to post outfits while in New York, and because of that I’ll be giving recaps of all the shows I saw the day before in every new post. Be sure to tag along on Twitter & Instagram over the next 8 days as I experience all that NYFW has to offer once again.
Oh – on a side note can I say I’m glad for warm coats and my hotel being a few blocks from the action. This season is going to be a COLD one.
