It seems like yesterday I was complaining about -10 degree days, and now it’s 88 degrees in May.
What I’m wearing: Sunglasses (c/o) Hammock & Palms, Striped H&M T-Shirt, Levi’s Cut Off Shorts, Zara Sandals, Alex & Ani Bracelet
This will be my first summer having a style blog, and honestly.. I’ve been slightly nervous about it. I’m an extremely hot natured guy and can barely stand layers in colder months without sweating. With warmer months approaching I had began to rack my brain on how to keep outfit posts interesting without passing out from a heat stroke while taking the photos when I realized it’s exactly what I do every day. I pick one or two items for the day that will make the outfit stand out, whether it be my favorite pair of printed shorts or my favorite new sandals and keep the rest of the outfit basic. I stick to looser fitting shirts, typically made of cotton, in the summer. I’m always partial to oversized silhouettes, but they’re even more practical in the summer. Simple things like cuffing up the sleeves on a t-shirt can take it from just another shirt to a purposeful part of your look for the day. Never forget to chose one standout piece for the day, and you’ll be sure to be basic without being a basic bitch.
Stylishly Yours,
