Mesh Shirt // Topman, Plaid // WeSC, Jeans // KR3W, Boots // Steve Madden
It’s been a whirlwind New Year for me already. Full of good and bad times with friends, lots of self reflection, a trip to Los Angeles, auditioning for a docu-series with the lovely DVF, and missing being able to post on the blog regularly. While on my trip to LA my tripod broke, and I lost my wireless remote; while I had planned on posting during my trip I took that as a sign to disconnect for the week. I’m back now though and feeling better than ever. Here’s to a great and prosperous New Year for us all!
I’m notorious for pairing a graphic t-shirt back to a plaid shirt and calling it a day. While on my LA trip I picked up this mesh t-shirt from Topman. Oversized, mesh, and so comfy; what’s not to love? Mesh shirts have came a long way from their days of adorning Adonis like bodies on go-go dancers. The material was spotted on spring runways and will see a revamp over the coming seasons to include prints as well. Trick to keeping these trend cirque now, not reminiscent of your days earning a few extra bucks at your local night club, is to keep the shirt loose fitting. This adds to the air of 90’s grunge especially when partnered with a plaid shirt and black jeans.
What do you think of mesh? Yes or a no?
