By now you have seen countless Facebook friends, strangers, and celebrities dumping buckets of ice water over their heads as part of the #ALSIceBucketChallenge, and now you’ve seen me doing it as well. I will admit I was one of those wondering what good dumping water over your head would REALLY do to help raise money and/or awareness for this disease, but I stand corrected. Over the last few weeks that the campaign has went viral over 22 million dollars has been donated to ALS. I’ll also admit that I knew nothing of what the disease was, how it affected people, or how long affected individuals are given to live. After being nominated by fellow blogger, Bella of Louisville, I did my research and gladly accepted the offer.
