Today was one of those days where I wore a shirt out of the house even though I wasn’t 100% feeling it because my house was 80 degrees, and I didn’t feel like changing again. I figured I would get more comfortable in it as the day went on, but I was wrong – I did not. Morale of the story, like I’ve said before, to look good in something you’ve got to feel good in it. Even if it is just another white tee + shorts combo that you’ve worn a million times before.
Caveat to that, it’s official. I’m getting older, and I can’t drink like I used to. I went to ONE party on Saturday (seriously, only one) and out to the bar afterwards. Today’s the first day I feel 100% back to normal since Saturday, and that’s one helluva long hang over. Am I right? Because of that, I’m swearing off booze for the time being – which means I’ve got no excuses to really kick up my training for my next marathon. On that note, if you haven’t checked out my tips on how to run in hot weather with Fleet Feet Sports you should get right on that. And me, I’m off on an early morning run. I’m looking at the Long Beach Marathon in October (of this year), which means I’ve got my work cut out for me.
