Like I said in my latest style post the weather around Louisville has been majorly up and down the last week, with it even getting down below freezing last night (at the end of April, go figure). But I’m actually seriously enjoying the 50-60 degree days that we’ve been having. Maybe it’s because 80 degree days in Mexico were a little too hot for me so early in the year, but mostly because I enjoy any excuse to layer up with my favorite chambray shirt.

This time of year I end up turning to chambray and stripes combos more than I care to admit, but there’s something inherently “Spring” to me about a light wash chambray shirt + a white striped tee, especially when paired with some BirkenstocksI guess you could say it’ll be my official, unofficial uniform for the next few months. How about y’all? What piece/pieces do you stick to this time of year? Sound off in the comments, I’d love to know what else I should maybe be investing in.

  • I’m pretty envious – can not wait to be free of pants and socks. It snowed twice earlier this week and was in the teens this morning. I think maybe spring starts in Southern Ontario next week. Possibly.
Slouchy tees, ripped jeans, and cardigans are my spring go-tos. Love the layers.

    • It’s been so nice to be back to basic Spring/Summer dressing. Keeping my fingers crossed it’s not too much longer for you!

  • Love the Berks! I remember my parents living in Birkenstocks when I was a kid (yep raised by hippies) I’m so so glad they’re back. I just adore spring, I have an emerald green cardigan that I live in. It’s just enough warmth while not being too hot, and it livens up all my boring office-casual neutrals. Enjoy your weekend!

    • Thanks! I wasn’t sold on them at first, but now I can’t stop wearing them. They’re great. And I’m with you – Spring is my favorite time of year.
