Tequila Cold Brew

Well, what a year 2017 turned out to be. Full of a crazy amount of ups and down, and easily one of my busiest years to date. Can’t say that I’m sad to say goodbye to 2017 though. Especially seeing as I’ll be ringing in 2018 with the best friends a guy could ask for. Complete with an all you can eat and drink celebration at one of our favorite spots. Followed by a Silent Disco where we’ll be dancing the night away. If it sounds like a long night that’s because it’s definitely going to be, but hey you’re only young once, right? Luckily my second holiday cocktail with Patrón is going to help us power through the night. More and more local bars have gotten on board with the cold brew cocktail trend, and I’m definitely here for it. So much so that I’m putting a holiday spin on one to serve while my friends and I get ready for the night. Best thing about this cocktail though? It’s easy to whip up a big batch and have it chilling in the fridge for your guests before they even arrive. Meaning that you’ll be able to enjoy time…

Grown Up Chocolate Milk

Y’all! Can’t believe that we’re just a few short days away from Christmas. This year has really flown by. Just like last year and the year before that. Who’s with me? I remember being younger and desperately wishing to be older. If I only I knew that it certainly speeds up and never slows down, maybe I wouldn’t have wished for it so hard. But of course there are perks to being able to sit at the big kid table during the Holidays. Like getting to indulge in a few adult beverages. Right? Over the years I’ve grown to be the cousin that brings cookies and a cocktail or two to our Christmas Eve functions. Which is why I’m excited to have teamed up with Patrón to craft two holiday cocktails. One for Christmas Eve and the other for New Years Eve – so stay tuned for that! Not only is Patrón my hands down favorite tequila to use in cocktails this year’s One Liter Limited Edition bottle is quite the showstopper. And I’m already planning on ways to reuse the bottle around my apartment once it’s empty. Making it not only the perfect addition to your bar at home…

Loaded Tecate

This post has been sponsored by Tecate Light. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Must be 21 or older to consume alcohol. Please drink responsibly. They weren’t lying. Time really does fly as you get older. I can’t believe that I’m sitting here writing this post at the beginning of December when it feels like summer was just a few days ago. This past year has been one of my busiest to date, and this Holiday season is proving to be no different. Pizza parties, gift exchanges, trips to Baltimore and Alexandria, ugly sweater AND wigs for a friend’s birthday. The past few weeks have been crazy busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Whenever my friends and I are together it’s a guaranteed good time. Full of laughs, lots of love, and at least one or two funny memories we’ll group text about for weeks to come. A few weeks back we all got together for a build-your-own pizza party, and I was in charge of the liquid refreshments. Well, also in charge of rolling out roughly 20 personal pan pizzas and acting as Pizza Traffic Control. Type A personality, especially in the kitchen, reporting for duty!…

Whiskey Sour Recipe

Y’all. Can’t believe that it’s already Christmas! This year has really flown by, but I’m definitely excited to spend the next couple of days with friends and family celebrating. Celebrating the year that’s passed, and all that is coming our way. I’ve got a handful of get togethers with friends over the next few days and this whiskey sour is definitely on the menu. It’s the recipe I picked up when I got the chance to sit in on a cocktail class at the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse last week. Can’t go wrong with a classic whiskey sour. BUT you can definitely spice it up a bit. How? By adding your favorite jam to the mix. Want it a bit spicy? Throw in a dollop or two of a Jalapeño infused jam. Something a little sweeter? Strawberry all the way. Plus, this is the PERFECT cocktail for your holiday party. A whiskey sour in itself is super easy to make. Since it’s just whiskey, sour mix, and egg whites. Meaning it’s a breeze to make ahead of time. So go ahead and whip up the base in bulk for your guests, and then have jams for them to choose from….

Red Wine Spritzer

This post has been sponsored by Schweppes®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.So, I have a confession to make. It’s taken me much, much longer than it should have for me to jump on the wine wagon. But now that I’m on board – I’m all in. From Sangrias to a straight up delicious glass of Cabernet Sauvignon I don’t tend to be too picky. And with the cooler weather moving in to stay my current favorite is a riff on a summer staple, a wine spritzer. It’s only fitting though that I swapped out white wine for red wine and added season appropriate flavors like blackberries and cranberries. Schweppe’s® Black Cherry Sparkling Water  is the perfect thing to top of the spritzer with, and the taste just adds to the flavor profile. It’s a win, win. Best part about this recipe? Easily one of the quickest cocktails I’ve shared on the site, and more often than not most ingredients will already be in your house. Except for possibly the fresh fruit and/or the Schweppes Sparkling Water. BUT lucky for you and I, Schweppes Sparkling Water is now available at your local Walmart. Meaning it’s easier than ever to…
