Crust
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Quiche
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups cream
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- Goat cheese
- 3 chicken sausage links, sliced
- 4 asparagus spears, sliced in half
Instructions
Crust
- Whisk together flour and salt in mixing bowl.
- Add water and olive oil, mix to combine.
- Press into prepared pie pan and set aside.
Quiche
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Brown chicken sausage in cast iron skillet for 6-7 minutes, remove and allow to cool.
- To same skillet add diced onion, season with salt and pepper, allow to cook for 2-3 minutes, and then remove from heat.
- Slice chicken sausage and line bottom of pie pan, top with onions before setting aside.
- Whisk together eggs and cream, pour into pie pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes, remove, top with asparagus and goat cheese, and then bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese begins to brown.
