I’m training for my first ever marathon. I’m a mix of excited, nervous, and a couple other emotions, BUT most of all I am..

I’m most of all excited to announce that I’m officially one of the 15 ambassadors for the Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon this year! While I have rain 3 half marathons and a handful of other races this will be my first full marathon, and I couldn’t be more excited to be training for it alongside 14 amazing runners from different walks of life in Louisville. More importantly, I get to do it alongside two friends of mine and local bloggers, Bella Of Louisville & Allison Meyers. When training it’s important to be sure you’re stocked up on all the right gear. In Louisville I always hit up Blue Mile on Bardstown Road for new gear whenever I start my training regime. My go-to gear of choice is Nike, hands down. I’ve always been a fan of how their clothes fit and how the shoes hold up, and on top of that they’ve built an incredible online running community. What’s your favorite running gear of choice?

While we’re talking about it.. head on over to KDF.org on August 14th to register to run the course with me!

Stylishly Yours,

Josh Johnson

Congrats on being one of the Ambassadors, and have fun, you’ll do great. I couldn’t do a full marathon but it would be exciting to be there, I’ve never been to Louisville. Your gear looks great, I like the green Nikes – awesome color choice.

  • Hey Josh! That is excellent. One of the coolest things I ever got to see was my hubby crossing the finish line for the Army Ten Miler. I can only imagine how incredibly awesome it will be for you to do this with your friends and fellow runners. Good luck and great poses!

    • Thanks love! It’s a great experience to train for sure and especially finish, so I’m super excited to do it with two good friend of mine!

  • Good luck and nice gear!!!!!!!!!!
