Pour It Up

how to pour a beer, lets grab a beer, bud light lime, how to pour, summer drinksLet’s raise a glass to the first official day of New York Fashion Week: Men’s shall we? To celebrate the special occasion I’ve teamed up with LetsGrabA.Beer to show y’all how to properly pour a beer, because I don’t know about y’all, but when it’s this hot out nothing sounds better to me than an ice cold beer.

Pouring the Perfect Packaged Beer
  1. Place the neck of the bottle or lip of the can over the edge of a clean glass
  2. Quickly raise the bottom of the bottle or can to a high angle, causing the beer to agitate in the glass
  3. Pour right down the middle of the glass
  4. Lower the bottom of the bottle or can to reduce the flow until the foam rises to the rim
  5. Serve with a 1 inch head of foam
The 4 Step Pouring Process (DRAUGHT BEER)
Start with Beer Ready Glass, and then T.O.S.S. A Perfect Draught Pour
  1. Tilt/ hold glass at a 45 degree angle when faucet is first opened. Glass should be held 2 inches from bottom of faucet.
  2. Open faucet all the way with hand engaged at base of tap marker. The beer should be flowing at ~2 ounces per second
  3. Straighten glass as liquid beer nears the top third of glass. This gentle move creates the foam which finishes off the pour.
  4. Stop the pour with at least a half to one full inch collar of foam on the beer.

Reminders: Do not submerge faucet at anytime into the glass. Do not engage tap marker at the top. Do not fill the glass to the top with all liquid and no foam.

Tonight I hope you’ll raise a glass (or two) with me in celebration of the revolution of the menswear industry in the states, because I know I’ll be kicking back a few tonight in NYC.
