3 Tips for Dating Post Breakup

3 Tips for Dating Post Breakup

I’m participating in the #SchickTransformation campaign, sponsored by Schick Hydro® at Walgreens. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own. Well, I’m officially almost 2 months single. Most of that time has been spent settling into my new home, focusing on healing, and spending time with friends. I’ve been on a few dates over the last few weeks, but my heart isn’t really in it, yet. At first I beat myself up about that, but over time I’m realizing that’s ok. It’s ok to take my time. Taking my time to focus on rebuilding the parts of me my last relationship tore apart. If you find yourself in the same boat, it’s also ok to take your time. Take as much time as you need and/or want. Healing and focusing on self-love is paramount at this junction, and I think a lot of people forget that post-breakup. When you are ready to get back into dating those months/weeks of self-love will be worth it. They’ll allow you to refocus on what’s important to you. Meaning that you’ll be the best possible version of yourself for the next person you date. Which is why I’m teaming up with Schick Hydro to share…

Polo Red Extreme

I’ve always been a cologne guy. And I still remember the first couple of colognes that I obsessed over during my high-school days. I wouldn’t leave the house without dousing myself in one scent or the other. These days, I’m not quite as bad, and I typically only spritz on certain occasions. Like a work meeting or a date night.  Speaking of date nights, Zack has never been a big fan of cologne. Wearing it himself or when I wear it. But a few weeks back I set out to change that. I was head over heals for the new Polo Red Extreme from the first day I tried it out. And to my surprise it turned out that he was as well. So much so that I bought him some that very day, and he’s worn it every day since. Turns out that you can teach an old dog new tricks! Zack and I don’t agree on a lot (opposites really do attract), but one thing we do agree upon is a love for coffee. So it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that he would also have an affinity for Polo Red Extreme as well. Seeing as how it’s the…

Old Spice Hair Care

It took me some time to get used to my shorter hair, but I’ll be the first to say that even though I was a fan of my long hair I love the ease that came with the chop. My grooming arsenal, once full of smoothing serums and dry shampoos, is slowly but surely being replaced with crèmes, gels, and pomades. Recently, I added two new additions from the Old Spice lineup to my medicine cabinet, and so far, love the results.  The Old Spice Pomade is perfect for those days where I’m keeping things under control and going for a more slicked back, put together look. While the Old Spice Putty is my go-to for normal day-to-day activities for a fun, disheveled look that I’m able to mess with throughout the day. Old Spice has made it easy for guys to look their best without breaking a sweat for years now, with their grooming lineup there’s something out there for everyone, and Amazon is the perfect one-stop shop to stock up on all your Old Spice wants and needs. This content was sponsored by Old Spice but all thoughts and opinions are my own. I hope you enjoy following along! #ad

Style by Boogie

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not typically the biggest fan of male focused grooming lines. Mostly because I’ve got a lot of hair and have hard a time finding a product to keep these long locks in check while adding shine and maintaining frizz.

Men’s grooming is definitely not the industry that it once was. Guys are now taking a much more vested interest in not only keeping up with their appearance, but also the products that they use to do so with.
